Alloy Steel AISI 4140 Bar is a chromium-molybdenum steel having strength and toughness. Its content consists of 0.38-0.43% Carbon, 0.75-1.00% Manganese, 0.80-1.10% Chromium, 0.15-0.25% Molybdenum, and trace. It has very good mechanical properties, tensile strength of 850-1000 MPa, yield strength of 650-850 MPa, and elongation of 20%. The bar exhibits good wear resistance, impact toughness, and can be heat-treated for improved performance. Extensively found in shafts, gears, and machinery, AISI 4140 assures reliability and stability in heavy duty industrial applications.
