S355JO plates and sheets are structural steel with good weldability, high strength, and impact strength. Their average chemical composition comprises carbon (≤0.20%), manganese (≤1.60%), silicon (≤0.50%), phosphorus (≤0.035%), and sulfur (≤0.035%). The minimum mechanical properties consist of a 355 MPa yield strength, tensile strength of 470-630 MPa, and elongation of 22% (thickness ≤16mm). S355JO has a Charpy impact value of ≥27J at 0°C, making it well suited for toughness, durability, and good machinability for structural applications.
