450 BHN sheets and plates are carbon-containing abrasion-resistant steel of the following composition: carbon (0.20-0.30%), manganese, silicon, chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, contributing to hardness as well as toughness. They exhibit high mechanical properties in terms of a tensile strength of 1400 MPa, a yield strength of 1200 MPa, and an elongation of 10-12%. Benefits are higher wear resistance, high impact toughness, and longer service life, which makes them suitable for applications in mining, construction, earthmoving, and industry, where the cost of maintenance is minimized and operational efficiency is enhanced in demanding environments.
