253MA (UNS S30815) plates and sheets are high-temperature stainless steel alloys with a controlled composition of Cr (20-22%), Ni (10-12%), Si (1.4-2.0%), N (0.14-0.2%), and Ce (0.03-0.08%), which improves oxidation and creep resistance. They have outstanding mechanical properties, such as yield strength of 310 MPa, tensile strength of 650 MPa, and elongation of 40%, making them long-lasting in harsh environments. The superior weldability, combined with the high melting point (~1420°C), 253MA excels as suitable for furnace componentry, heat exchangers, and various high-temperature applications that call for optimum performance.
