EN 9 is a medium carbon steel with a higher carbon content, typically ranging from 0.50% to 0.60%, along with carefully controlled levels of manganese and silicon. EN 9 sheets and plates maintain moderate ductility, good impact strength, and can achieve even higher hardness through heat treatment.
